Bank holiday is coming up! Miffy sees long weekends as an opportunity to try as many new activities as possible, and the August sun has prompted her to get outside for this weekend of discovery. As you get ready for your summer break, have a read through Miffy’s plans to get inspired!
Games Night
The evenings are golden and warm, which calls for an outdoor setting for the first evening of the bank holiday! If Friday night is usually game night in your family, why not take the festivities outside? Miffy is heading to her local park with a few pens and pad of paper to play a picture guessing game with her family, while Melanie’s family have challenged themselves to learning a new card game out in the garden. With a flask of a warming nighttime tea, make the most of the light evenings by taking your favourite game out of doors.
Team Sports
During the summer holidays, Miffy can miss playing team sports with her classmates. But Father and Mother Bunny are here to save her boredom and reignite their playful sides at the same time! They’ve invited Melanie, Boris Bear, and their families down to the local park for an afternoon of rounders, cricket, and laughter. Get yourself into teams, and head down to the nearest green space to battle it out under the summer sun!
Pet Training
Of course, Miffy’s dog Snuffy isn’t going to be happy when she realises he’s not allowed to catch the ball during cricket. To make up for it, Miffy has decided to spend Sunday training Snuffy to do some fun tricks! Through an afternoon of teamwork, Snuffy will learn how to roll over, get up onto her hind legs, and jump through a hula hoop. If you have a fluffy friend, make the most of your free time by teaching some fun tricks and bonding with your favourite pet.
Fly a kite!
To end the weekend on a high, Miffy and Mother Bunny have dusted off the kite from the attic. Together, they’re planning in heading up to the highest hill around and letting the kite soar in the sky. Whether you have an old kite lying around, or if you’ve always wanted to try kite surfing, let you spirits rise on the final day of the bank holiday.
