A new exhibition called ‘Miffy and the Ocean’ has opened at the Hong Kong Science Museum.
The exhibition, which runs until 11th October 2017, teaches children about how plastic waste is polluting our oceans and causing problems for marine wildlife.
The eight million tons of plastic waste dumped into the ocean every year harms the creatures that live in and near the water; in this exhibition, young children learn, together with Miffy, how they can help to protect the ocean and keep it clean.
Animation, interactive games and puzzles convey the message in a playful way – Dick Bruna’s iconic illustrations are seen throughout the colourful displays.
The exhibition will travel to other science museums in mainland China from October 2017.
